It’s time for another season of The Bachelor, which means a lot of things: alcohol, hot tub dates, arguments, tears, but also — the potential for a family to begin! Though the latter is rare, it has happened from shows on The Bachelor. We’re going to take you through the few families that have formed as a result of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise.
Max and Blakesley (Trista and Ryan Sutter)
Trista and Ryan met on Trista’s season of The Bachelorette and the pair got married in 2003. They had Max and Blakesley, pictured below.
Essex and Fordham (Ashley and J.P. Rosenbaum)
Ashley and J.P. met on season seven of The Bachelorette and got married in December 2012. Since then, the pair have had two children.
Riley and Ty (Jason and Molly Mesnick)
Jason and Molly ended up engaged (and later married) after Jason initially proposed to a different contestant on his season on The Bachelor. In that After the Final Rose finale, Jason admitted his mistake and Molly took him back. The pair married in 2010 and had their first child, Riley, in 2013. Jason had his son, Ty, from a previous marriage.
Samuel (Sean and Catherine Lowe)
Sean and Catherine met during Sean’s season of The Bachelor. The couple got married in 2014 and had Samuel in 2016. The pair is currently expecting another child.
Asher (Desiree and Chris Siegfried)
Des and Chris met on Des’ season of The Bachelorette and got married in 2015. The two had their first child together, Asher, in 2016.
Emerson (Jade and Tanner Tolbert)
Jade and Tanner met in paradise during season two of BIP. The two married in 2016 and had Emerson (Emmy) in 2017.
Expecting: Carly and Evan Bass, Sean and Catherine (baby number two)
There you have it — these parents truly found love in a hopeless place.
